Forestrall Limited & Forestrall Medway Limited (Forestrall) are independent Timber Merchants that purchases and sells Softwood, Hardwood and Sheet Materials.
Forestrall is committed to leading its industry in protecting the environment and minimising the impact of its activities upon the environment. We at Forestrall, take sustainable development seriously, and are continually looking for new ways to improve the environmental performance of all our trading activities.
We aim to show that our timber is produced in an environmentally responsible manner. To do this and respond to our customers' needs and expectations, we keep sight of the wide range of raw materials; production processes and countries of operation in producing our goods.
The key points of our strategy to achieve this are:
- Minimise waste and pollution by continuously evaluating all operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.
- Minimise all emissions through the selection and use of the most efficient fleet and analyse and monitor the source of our power and water requirement.
- Communicate environmental aims and objectives to all employees and external stakeholders, and raise awareness and encourage participation by employees in environmental matters
- Forestrall will promote and communicate ‘environmental effect’ training and instruction in unnecessary waste prevention, pollution precautions, and health and hygiene measures.
- Encourage suppliers, contractors and customers to uphold similar environmental standards and actively promote recycling both internally and amongst all our customers and suppliers.
- Manufacture and promote a product range to minimise the environmental impact of our purchasing, production and distribution channels.
- Meet and wherever possible exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to our Company.
- We will consult and communicate with all relevant authorities and advisory organisations in the furtherance of maintaining and improving our positive environmental standards.
The company is committed to the preservation of the environment by monitoring and minimising the impact of our activities. By developing our understanding of our impacts and by the setting of objectives, we will strive to continuously improve our environmental performance with the aim of minimising consumption and waste.
The company will operate in compliance with all relevant existing and future Environmental laws, regulations and associated codes of practice. This will be applicable to all regions in which we operate.
This policy will be communicated to all employees and organisations working for or on our behalf. Employees and other organisations are expected to co- operate and assist in the implementation of this policy, whilst ensuring that their own work, so far as is reasonably practicable, is carried out without risk to themselves, others, or the environment.
